During visits to our community partners' sitios, especially the most far-flung ones, it's evident that healthcare access is extremely limited. The more time we spend in our communities, the more apparent it is to us that our investments have to be holistic, going beyond coffee.
That's why collaboration can be a force for good—making dreams come true and changing lives in the process. Last April 2023, together with the formidable Remote Area Medical Philippines team, we were able to give PHP 709,000 in medical services to our farmer-partners and the rest of the community living in Barangay Salacafe, T’Boli.
This would not have been possible without the support of government and health offices in T’Boli and in the province of South Cotabato, the coordination of community leaders in Sitio Kule, and the generous donations we received from coffee industry friends and private donors. We are grateful for this opportunity to meaningfully reinvest in a community that has become like family.
